Video: Pictures On The Sand
Август 31st, 2010
Anastasia This video shows the winner of «Ukraine ’s Got Talent», Kseniya Simonova, 24, drawing a series of pictures on an illuminated sand table showing how ordinary people were affected by the German invasion during World War II. Her talent, which admittedly is a strange one, is mesmeric to watch.
The images, projected onto a large screen, moved many in the audience to tears and she won the top prize of about Ј75,000.
She begins by creating a scene showing a couple sitting holding hands on a bench under a starry sky, but then warplanes appear and the happy scene is obliterated.

Vodka is the first thing what people of other countries think of when they are asked to tell what they know about Russia. You think that vodka can be only drunk? That’s not true. Unlike Scottish whisky or Japanese sake vodka is multifunctional. Here are at least a few ways how vodka can be used.
1. Vodka is good for getting rid of scruff. Here is the recipe:
one glass of vodka + 2 teaspoons of powdered rosemary. Leave it for 2 days then filter it through coffee-grounds. Rub it on your head skin slowly, don’t wash it away. Alcohol will clean the skin from scruff and toxins and helps your hair growth.

Anastasia There’s a lot written and said about Moscow subway. There are many books and articles about its history and architecture. But the subway is also a paleontological museum. Ammonites, nautiluses, corals, sea lilies lived in seas many millions years ago and now you can see inhabitants of ancient seas on the subway’s walls and columns coated with marble and limestone and you don’t need a loupe to see some of the creatures.

Anastasia
The Rasputin’s museum was opened in Pokrovskoye (Tyumen region) where Grigoriy Rasputin was born. It is his reconstructed home, that was destroyed in Soviet times because the government was afraid of tourists who could be interested in this person. So now, everybody is welcome.
Oh by the way, there is a chair that Rasputin presented to a groom and said that when that groom sits down on it and think of him (Rasputin), the chair will give him (the groom) sexual energy for the rest of his life. Hurry, the chair is old and everyone may want to sit on it.

There are very many of them and these are the ones I know and follow:
If you hiccup, it means somebody is thinking about you
If anything is lost, say “Devil, play with it and give back”
A spider in the house – to good money
Many flies in the house – to a decedent (before my grandma passed away in January a few years ago, we had many flies in our apartment in late autumn (October, November). We killed 20 flies a day during a week or a two. That was strange).
