What you will really need in Moscow is a map or GPS. Don’t neglect it if you are roaming around on your own. Because:

  1. For some reason here the streets' names aren’t always attached to the corner buildings.
  2. You won’t be able to ask where the street you need is because most of people don’t speak English (they never needed it in their lives).
  3. Even if they do or you speak Russian, it may not help because millions of people come to Moscow everyday. They don’t live there hence won’t be able to help you even if they wanted. When I need to ask how to get somewhere, I ask an old lady or man because there’s a good chance they’ve spent their whole life in Moscow and know every corner there. But, once again, they don't speak English.

As you may already know there are three types of visa – visitor’s visa, tourist visa and a business visa. Which one to prefer? Personally I never wanted to deal with a visitor’s visa. I checked the internet about it and found out that it takes 40-45 days to get the invitation from the migration office. Plus I am always afraid that my US friend just won’t get that type of visa (who knows the counselor, he may just refuse to give it). My US friend has been visiting me by tourist visa for years because the agency I worked with registered my friend’s stay at a hotel themselves. Unlike Scottish whisky or Japanese sake vodka is multifunctional. Here are at least a few ways how vodka can be used.

1. Vodka is good for getting rid of scruff. Here is the recipe:
one glass of vodka + 2 teaspoons of powdered rosemary. Leave it for 2 days then filter it through coffee-grounds. Rub it on your head skin slowly, don’t wash it away. Alcohol will clean the skin from scruff and toxins and helps your hair growth.

2. If you put a razor in vodka, vodka will remove the rust and the razor will shine as a brand new one!  Read more...
