Here women disappointed in men say “all men are goats” (vse muzhiki kazly). Here bad men are called goats. Bad meaning cheaters, gigolos, those who don't appreciate woman's care, use women, beat them and don't deserve good women at all (he is such a goat! – on takoi kazyol!). There's a joke:

Field Of Wonders
Yesterday I was switching channels and found the show that is called “Wheel Of Fortune” I the US (right?). In Russia it is called “Field Of Wonders”. I don't know how old it's been running here. Around 20 years, I think. At least 15, that is for sure. With time it became less of a game and more of a “get on TV”. Participants come to tell hi everyone they know naming each family member, friend, coworker, local governors (if they helped to get on the show). Then they give presents to the show presenter, naming everyone who's sent each present. They are usually vegetables or fruits, pickled food, national costumes (that are put on the presenter immediately), local craft-work, goods the participants manufacture on their plant or something related to their work (casks, clothes, etc) and many many many more. Now it will even look strange if one comes without a gift. I heard on in Moscow there's the whole museum of the “Field Of Wonders” show.
Who Are The Angels On The Saint Trinity Icon Painted By Andrey Rublyov
The icon of by shows the famous Bible episode of the appearance of Saint God Trinity to Abraham and his wife Sarrah.
In Orthodoxy the Trinity is indivisible and consubstantial. That is why all angels are painted similar. Other painters (after A.Rublyov) painted a cross in the aureola of Christ but it only broke the consubstantiality. Since it wasn't right to differ one angel from another so obviously, other painters added the same aureola to other angels which only made the mistake even worse, because such aureolas in images of Farther God and Saint Spirit were unacceptable.
Moscow Myths And Legends. The Moscow “Seven Pyramids”
Seven skyscrapers built in Moscow during Stalin's times are the iconic part of the city's skyline. Moscow historians believe there was a reason why they were built. The project designers led by Stalin had intentions to demonstrate the entire world how strong and powerful the Soviet state was. They also say that Stalin was interested in astrology and decided to build the skyscrapers in accordance with astrological rules.
How To Address To A Person In Russia
Speaking about Russian names.
In Russia there are a few ways one can call a person by name. There are short form of the name, full first name and full first name + patronymic. Male patronymic ends on -vich (Nikolai – Nikolaevich, Oleg – Olegovich, etc.), female forms end on -vna (Nikolaevna, Olegovna, etc.). You possibly noticed that most of Russian last names end on -ov/-ev (for men) and -ova/-eva (for women). Surnames like that usually refer to a profession, quality, place, etc. For example,

Traditional Russian Embroidery. Part 2. Ladies Of Fertility (Mothers Of The World)
Mothers' images were especially sacred in Russian tradition. That's why before 19th century you can find them only on fabrics used for fertility rituals (wedding, birth, and harvesting). Later, Mothers' worship turned into just "family", "household" rituals by mid-1800's. But in ancient times, Mothers were considered as the owners of the world, animals, soil and water.
In "The Word Of Idols" - the ancient Russian manuscript of the 12th century - the ancient author describes the pagan religion of gods Rod (the Creator, Birth) and Rozhanitsas (Ladies of Fertility, the Creator's wife and daughter). He writes about it as about a whole belief, but scientists think that Rozhanitsas as goddesses are much more ancient than Rod. According to archaeological researches, Rozhanitsas were worshiped even in Paleolithic, and the Rod religion was formed only in agricultural age. Moreover, in the 15th century Rozhanitsas become the most important spirits in peasants' agricultural rituals.
